State leaders barred from school functions

In an education department list on who can attend official events in all schools in the state, Pakatan Rakyat leaders names are glaringly missing. The education department letter’s list was issued to all school headmasters in Selangor earlier this month. The letter from the district education department instead stated that the education minister has appointed 73 Umno, MCA, MIC and Gerakan leaders who were sanctioned to attend official events in the state’s schools. “Only these officials named in the attached list are allowed to attend official functions in the government schools in the state,” the letter dated March 11, 2009 stated. Previously, all school heads were verbally told not invite Pakatan leaders for any official functions in schools. I think I might get an heart attack any time. Two days ago, I read the news that Malacca, CM, Ali Rustam was barred from taking part in contest for UMNO Deputy President's post. What! Are UMNO serious about this. Come on, UMNO. Look at his face. Despite me hate UMNO as a PARTY, I still admire some of its members. One of them is Ali Rustam. In past , he did make some nasty comments abt others. But, I personally think he is a good leader. His agents used money and spend for other members during the campaign, WHAT the big deal about it?. Come on UMNO, is that a big crime?. I also got spend by many who expect me to use their company's product in my daily work. MACC questions Perak Rights and Priviliges panel members Updated: 06:37PM Thu, 19 Mar 2009 IPOH (March 19, 2009) : The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today recorded statements from five members of the Perak Rights and Privileges Committee which had suspended the mentri besar and six state executive councillors from the State Legislative Assembly. The five members questioned by the MACC were assemblymen Loke Chee Yan (Kepayang ), Ong Boon Piow (Tebing Tinggi ), Sum Cheok Leng (Bercham), Chan Ming Kai (Simpang Pulai) and Husin Din (Selinsing). State Assembly Speaker V. Sivakumar, who is also chairman of the committee, had suspended the seven for contempt on Feb 18 based on a complaint from DAP Canning assemblyman Wong Kah Woh. Wong had complained that the appointments of Zambry as Mentri Besar and the six excos were unconstitutional and the inquiry was held at the State Secretariat.
