Using maruthani (inai) is Indians culture. It is not just a "art work" on body but it also has values. The ceremony is done one or 2 days before the wedding day.

Took this pic during my first visit to Bangladesh many years back .....errr I have to check my previous passport when I went. Bangladesh has grown alot. I foresee it can be stable in 5-10 years time.

It is a early practice among Indians to let the Goldsmith to make the Thali ( the symbol of marriage that they wear like a pendent ) Few days before the wedding they collect the thali and the goldsmith will make a simple prayers and hand it over to the 3 married ladies who will be collecting the Thali back home. This is my 101st posting :)

The Sittars in meeting. Avvaiyar and Agastian in meeting with Lord Murugan in Palani. Sittars? Who are they? They have had such meetings thousands of years back even in Swarnabumi (Malaya).
