Event for Ambiga pelted with eggs and stones Nigel Aw 7:44PM May 19, 2012 An angry mob pelted two DAP state assemblypersons and party supporters at a high tea event in Merlimau, Malacca today that was to feature Bersih 2.0 co-chairperson Ambiga Sreenevasan. When contacted, Ayer Keroh state rep Khoo Poay Tiong ( left ) said the some hecklers had attacked him and Bandar Hilir rep Tey Kok Kiew while they were leaving the venue after the event. “A stone hit me and the eggs hit our vehicles. One of our members’ windshield was also broken,” he said ( top photo ). Tey's vehicle had one of its tyres punctured, a side mirror broken and its body badly dented by the hecklers ( last photo below ). He has since lodged a report at Merlimau police station. Earlier, Malaysiakini ’s phone conversation with Khoo prior to the attack was cut off after incessant screaming was heard in the background.    Night market at Ambiga's residence today?     6:17PM May 16, 2012    Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) officers were spotted near Ambiga Sreenevasan’s residence this afternoon, in anticipation of another protest. NONETen DBKL personnel and five police personnel were spotted near her house at Bukit Damansara. According to one DBKL personnel, they had received information that several individuals will be setting up a pasar malam (night market) in front of Ambiga’s house. As of 7pm, no such activities were taking place. Ambiga’s house has been the target of two protests against the Bersih 3.0 rally which she led. Ex-army vets do 'butt exercises' at Ambiga's house Ahmad Fadli KC 9:06AM May 15, 2012 A group of retired armed forces personnel held ‘butt exercises’ in front of the residence of Bersih co-chairperson Ambiga Sreenevasan in Bukit Damansara early this morning. The participants, who claimed to be members of the Malay Armed Forces Veterans Association (PVTM), said the event was held to protest against Ambiga for being an “enemy of the nation who had smeared the country’s name”. On May 10, a ‘burger protest’ was also held in front of Ambiga’s house by a group of traders who claimed to have suffered losses due to last month’s Bersih 3.0 rally.
